Suicideboys (stylized as $uicideboy$) is an American hip hop duo from New Orleans, Louisiana, founded in 2014 by cousins Ruby da Cherry and Scrim (stylized as $crim). Via the music sharing platform SoundCloud, the duo rose to popularity for their abrasive, self-produced beats, as well as their harsh lyrical content and themes prominently featuring substance use disorder and suicidal ideation. They own and operate their own label, G*59 Records, under which all of their music is distributed by Caroline Distribution. The duo are considered one of the most popular acts in the underground rap scene, and are also considered to have a cult following. After several years of solely releasing EPs and mixtapes, Suicideboys' debut studio album I Want to Die in New Orleans was released on September 7, 2018. It fared well commercially, becoming their first top-ten album on the US Billboard 200. In May 2019, they released their collaborative six-track EP with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker entitled Live Fast, Die Whenever. It also prominently featured Korn guitarist James Shaffer.
Turnstile is an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2010. They have released 3 EPs and two studio albums. Turnstile formed in 2010. They released their debut EP, titled Pressure to Succeed, in 2011, and their second EP, titled Step 2 Rhythm, in 2013, both via Reaper Records. On January 13, 2015, Turnstile released their debut full-length album Nonstop Feeling, also via Reaper Records.
Shermar Cuba Paul (born May 29, 1997), known professionally as Night Lovell, is a Canadian rapper, songwriter and record producer. His old record producer alias was KLNV, standing for Killanov. He initially gained fame after his song Dark Light went viral in 2014. He has released three albums named Concept Vague on December 21, 2014 and Red Teenage Melody on June 13, 2016, and Goodnight Lovell which was released on February 22, 2019. Lovell then released the singles, Lethal Presence and I Heard You Were Looking For Me. On May 6, 2021 he released his fourth album Just Say You Don't Care which included singles, Alone and Counting Down The List. His musical style is often categorized by its dark and brooding atmosphere, with the subject matter often revolving around themes of introspection and angst. This results in the pervasive dark tone that populates both the lyrics and instrumentation, which itself incorporates elements of drill, trap, and cloud rap, as well as ambient elements.
